NJ Electronic Waste Recycling Rules

NJ Electronic Waste Law NJ's 2008 Electronic Waste Management Act established recycling requirements for manufacturers and consumers of covered electronic devices. These devices must NOT be disposed of in landfills.

Who Qualifies as a Consumer? Under NJ's e-waste law, "consumers" include individuals, schools, government entities, and small businesses.

Covered Electronic devices Electronic devices that MUST be recycled include desktop computers, computer monitors, portable computers/tablets, desktop printers/fax machines, and televisions.
